Metallica, Not For Softies

Image      I can taste water. You know, like tasting wine or beer. The best tasting water I’ve ever had was settled rain water from the roof of grandma & gandpa’s house. There was a tin cup hanging on the edge of the large white bowl. The taste of the water combined with the metals of the cup & bowl gave of a metallic taste that seemed to somehow directly connect with mother earth. There’s nothing over a good metallic (and chilled) cup of water. I’ll drink tap water when and if necessary. The worst I’ve ever tasted was in CG Arizona. That might be Montezuma’s revenge chasing us down for all that bad-talk we did on Mexico’s tap water over the past frew decades. By long and far, the bast tap water I’ve had was from a natural spring from a rusty old cup, but that’s not tap, is it?

P.S. was that perhaps the cat’s water hole? And continuing the afterstory…… THIS is how you exploit something God gave us – for free. People are making money off one of our vital needs. It’s happening globally, just as the air biz is too.

short update

sorry for keeping out of sight but I really was unable to operate a PC up till now and even now it’s a challenge. I had to drop the chemo as it was literally killing me. I went from 97Kg all the way down to 81 in ten days time. It’s been bed, bed, bed and hardly anything but bed. My appetite is gone and it’s hard to keep things down. Our next move which should be today will be to move from 2x8mg Palladon to 2x10mg Morphine. The morphine covers the pain better and I’m hoping to lose a side effect or two by the switch.

Please accept my apologies for taking so long to get this out.

Pink Floyd – Time

Irritating how I can’t simply embed a video clip on WordPress whereas the emphasis should be on the word “simply”.

Click here for the Pink Floyd clip. It has everything a good song should have and more.

A Glance at the Blog Visitor Stats (neato!)

Image

Lexington, Oklahoma. Yip. I would expect a visit from Lexington. But Council Bluffs, Iowa? Oh, wait, I see these stats cover the blog’s complete lifespan. Ah, but of course. Iowa would be an old friend, an English teacher with real talent when it comes to word juggling. That would also explain California being ranked number one. California, we love you guys to pieces!

Feed of Cold, Starve of Fever?

Or is it the other way ’round? Duzzint mattah. I couldn’t eat much these past few days, have been battling a nasty fever. The end of May, best weather, surrounded by good people and good food, I’ve been curled up on the couch shivering like a fear-infested chihuahua with a crew cut. Our youngest turned 21 yesterday. We had a full house and garden. As we say in Oz…..”Feste sollen gefeiert werden wie sie fallen” which boils down to “celebrate things as they come”. Or so.

Be good!
